Our Philosophy

Founded in 2023 by Naomi Misu, Uplift Nail Studio aims to provide safe, painless care for your foot and nail concerns, while making them look healthy and attractive!

Working in the nail industry for over 15 years, Naomi has met so many clients who have concerns about their feet, especially the discomfort associated with corns and ingrown, or involuted, toenails. That sharp little pain can lead to other issues, such as knee and back pain, and prevent you from stepping your foot forward with comfort and ease.

As an international award-winning nail artist, she knows what to look for when it comes to nails and has a thorough understanding of the proper nail structure. After completing a program at The North American School of Podology in 2019, Naomi became a master pedicurist while working as a nail artist at a busy and sought-after nail salon in Toronto. Prompted to embark on a new journey as a pedicurist she has since competed several courses in Japan related to toenail care. Today she has extensive experience in various care-focused techniques that are not widely available in the city (or country!), and offers a collection of gentle, yet efficacious products for at-home care.

The function of our bodies depends on our feet more than we often realize, and Naomi believes taking care of your feet and toenails is integral to enjoying a longer lifespan. Visiting a foot clinic for toenail issues is a great option for some, but sometimes it involves going under knife and can result in other complications. It may also not be a solution for diabetic patients who require clean and non-abrasive foot care regularly. Thick toenails, due to previous trauma or infection, are another common issue not yet openly discussed or simple to address. They’re typically hard to trim at home and this challenge can prevent them from growing properly, resulting in on-going problems.

From walking to playing sports, or wearing open-toe shoes with confidence, Naomi and the Uplift Nail Studio team want to help you to get back to doing whatever it is you love, one step at a time.
